摘要: The evolution and dissemination of laparoscopy has arrived at a good time. population is aging will put tremendous stress on the healthcare system in near future. For surgeons, elderly patients pose significant challenge due to comorbidities higher likelihood postoperative complications. Age, however, must not be contraindication itself when geriatric patient presents with potentially curative malignancy. Fortunately, minimal access surgery allowed surgeons operate aged less morbidity mortality. Good outcomes are still best achieved thorough knowledge physiology aging, pneumoperitoneum, oncology. This chapter covers all changes induced by minimally invasive pertinent suffering from cancer.
