摘要: Abstract Fragmentation and destruction of ecosystems due to highways are key threats habitat quality biodiversity. In this article, we develop a theoretical framework use dynamic spatial panel data model estimate how Austrian highway construction after 1968 has impacted the populations roe deer, red deer wild boar. The results indicate that growing density leads decreasing boar in their local district, contrasted with increasing neighboring districts. Red were relatively insensitive construction. Positive population effects districts can be explained by reduction competition, disease transmission, road kill. have important policy implications for Environmental Impact Assessments infrastructure construction, particularly early stages planning.
