摘要: Severe injury involvements on arterial roads account for a quarter of the total severe injuries reported statewide. Crash severity analysis was conducted and consisted six road entity models twenty crash type models. The data preparation sampling successful in allowing robust dataset. overall model good candidate driver high-speed multilane roads. Driver resulting from angle left turn crashes were best modeled by separate unsignalized intersection analysis. Injury rear-end fixed object combined pure segment crashes. most important contributing factors found included driver-related variables such as age, gender, seat belt use, at-fault driver, physical defects speeding. vehicle-related ejection, collision (harmful event), cause, vehicle off-roadway crash. Multivehicle interactions with off also significant. significant roadway-related speed limit, adt per lane, access class, lane width, roadway curve, sidewalk non-high mast lighting density, friction course skid resistance. Two additional urban rural areas successfully developed. land use models’ goodness fit substantially better than any other combination or model.
