摘要: This paper discusses the results of absorption-line spectroscopy carried out with Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on prototypical Sa galaxy NGC 4594 (the Sombrero galaxy). Two conclusions were derived concerning this galaxy. First, at values r less than 10 arcsec, there is a well-defined nuclear disk stars which not obviously connected to main larger radii. Second, mass-to-light ratio, M/L(V), rises abruptly 1 arcsec M/L(V) greater 50, least times as large ratios above 2 arcsec. implies presence central dark mass magnitude between 8.5th and 9.5th solar masses. 54 references.
