摘要: A 31-year-old woman developed disturbance of consciousness and left hemiparesis. Cerebral computed tomograms showed a low-density area in the right temporal lobe that extended to parietal frontal lobes as her clinical symptoms worsened. The diagnosis familial variant antithrombin III (AT-III) was based on decreased biologic activity normal immunologic level AT-III this patient family members. Transfusion concentrate led striking recovery. Blood coagulation studies revealed nine 13 members had herself only homozygote with AT-III. We conclude AT-III, especially homozygote, seems be one cause ischemic stroke young adults simultaneous measurement both activities is necessary detect it.
