Uniform ZnSe microspheres self-assembled from ZnSe polyhedron shaped nanocrystals

摘要: Large-scale and uniform ZnSe solid hollow microspheres have been prepared via controllable self-assembly of faceted nanocrystals under hydrothermal conditions. During the process, using surfactant or not plays a key role in nanocrystals' into microspheres. Using PVP as surfactant, monodisperse shaped (including cubes, hexagons, pentagons) with diameter ∼50 nm obtained; without ∼3 μm achieved by nanocrystals; while oleyl amine which combines N2 bubbles from decomposition N2H4·H2O, forming new “soft-template”, synthesized through as-called “soft-template” process. Meanwhile, temperature, time, reducing agent significant effects on surface morphology microspheres, i.e., suitable temperature (e.g., 180 °C), longer reaction small quantity N2H4·H2O could be beneficial to growth well-defined their A possible mechanism for formation has proposed.
