摘要: Radiocarbon-dated pollen and diatom records from Hoton-Nur lake (48°40'N, 88°18'E), northwest Mongolia are used to reconstruct Holocene vegetation climate changes. Steppe, which covered the area some time before 9000 BP (all ages given in 14C BP), was replaced by boreal conifer forest-steppe 9000–8500 BP. At same time, planktonic diatoms increased abundance 5 45%. After 4000 there a sharp reduction forest re-establishment of steppe. Changes composition were accompanied decrease 35–50% (between 5500 BP) less than 10% soon after These other published data suggest wetter conditions during early middle those today. This pattern probably reflects an expansion Pacific monsoon recorded geological China simulated climate-model experiments, suggests that summer influenced larger might appear if Chinese only taken into consideration.
