摘要: This paper is concerned with the accurate and stable finite element analysis of large amplitude liquid sloshing in two-dimensional tank under forced excitation. The flow formulated as an initial-boundary-value problem based upon fully non-linear potential theory. velocity field interpolated from second-order elements according to least square method, free surface conditions are tracked by making use direct time differentiation predictor–corrector method. Meanwhile, mesh adapted such that incompressibility condition strictly satisfied. accuracy stability numerical method introduced verified comparison existing reference solutions. As well, results compared those obtained linear theory respect fill height excitation amplitude. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
