摘要: We measured vegetation at shrub patches used for nesting by Yellow-breasted Chats (Icteria virens) to evaluate the importance of habitat patch features on nest predation, cowbird parasitism, and site selection. Logistic regression models indicated that nests in small (average diameter 10 cm dbh) nearby. Patches chats had larger average diameters than unused tended contain more stems. appeared prefer large experienced lower predation there. Although they might experience higher brood parasitism frequencies patches, losses were balanced success because mean number chat young fledged did not differ between versus patches.
