摘要: A system for the creation of computer-generated sound patterns two-dimensional line graphs is described. The objectives are to provide blind with a means understanding in holistic manner used by those sight. continuously varying pitch represent motion x direction. To test feasibility using graphs, prototype was developed and human factors experimenters were performed. Fourteen subjects compare tactile-graph methods normally these new graphs. It discovered that mathematical concepts such as symmetry, monotonicity, slopes lines could be determined quickly sound. Even better performance may expected additional training. flexibility, speed, cost-effectiveness, greater measure independence provided or sight-impaired demonstrated.
