摘要: We report a systematic study on the directional sensitivity of direct dark matter detector that detects polar angle recoiling nucleus. A weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP)-mass independent method is used to obtain general in an isothermal galactic halo. By using two-dimensional distributions energy and angle, without head-tail information with 6.3 times statistics found achieve same performance level as full three-dimensional tracking detector. Optimum operation orientations are obtained for various experimental configurations, detectors space- or Earth-fixed, have capability not, use not. Earth-fixed best when axis oriented at 45 degree from Earth’s pole. With background contamination mimics WIMP signal’s distribution, decrease rate less than signal purity. The WIMP-mass dependence thresholds uses gaseous xenon target material reported. find 5×10-46  cm2 spin-independent WIMP-nucleon cross-section 30 GeV WIMP, 770  kg·year’s exposure 10 keV threshold can make three sigma discovery WIMPs For columnar recombination detector, considerations discussed.
