Overview of Dynamic Facility Layout Planning as a Sustainability Strategy

摘要: The facility layout design problem is significantly relevant within the business operations strategies framework and has emerged as an alternate strategy towards supply chain sustainability. However, its wide coverage in scientific literature focused mainly on static planning approach disregarded dynamic approach, which very useful real-world applications. In this context, present article offers a review of (DFLP). First, taxonomy reviewed papers proposed based formulation current trends (related to type, phase, number facilities, floors, departments, space consideration, department shape, dimensions, area, materials handling configuration); mathematical modeling (regarding type model, objective function, constraints, nature market demand, data, distance metric), considered solution approach. Then, extent recent research into DFLP contributed sustainability by addressing three performance dimensions (economic, environmental, social) described. Finally, some future guidelines are provided.
