摘要: A data storage system architecture having an array of small disks, organized into logical rows and columns, with each disk coupled to two controllers via independent controller-disk interconnects. No disks are the same pair controllers. In this architecture, component arranged in parity groups variable size. Within group, failure one sector can be recovered through reconstruction using from other group. One or more reserved as hot standbys for substitution on failure, automatically replacing any failing disk.
