摘要: Land‐cover classifications in mountainous terrain are often hampered by the topographic effect. Several strategies can be pursued to correct for this. A traditional approach is use training areas same land‐cover class different positions and later merge those into one class. Other solutions involve corrections, such as a Minnaert correction. In this study classification result of training‐area was compared with Minnaert‐corrected image. order derive constants, SPOT XS scene Santa Monica Mountains, USA, divided three visually relatively homogeneous regions.
