摘要: Studies were conducted to investigate the electroantennographic (EAG) responses of adult female Helicoverpa armigera a range known and putative kairomone components. The studies show that at given dose EAG elicited by series straight-chain aliphatic primary alcohols not dependent on volatility since butan-1-ol pentan-1-ol significantly smaller than those hexan-1-ol. amplitudes hexan-1-ol found be with 10(-1) µmol source in non-volatile solvent eliciting largest response. Similarly, changes functionality C(6) compounds changed amplitude response elicited, aldehydes related saturated higher unsaturated compounds. Of nine host plant-produced terpenoids tested, ocimene beta-phellandrene highest six aromatic tested phenylacetaldehyde benzaldehyde responses, doses tested. significance these findings for analysis floral odours gas chromatography linked electroantennography as means identifying components attractive H. are discussed.
