摘要: We introduce a novel linear mixed-effects method for estimating von Bertalanffy growth parameters from increment data that lack explicit age information. The is simple to implement and can incorporate estimate variability in both the asymptotic size L1 Brody coefficient K. Simulations indicate estimates are accurate over range of conditions. applied more than 6000 Atlantic sea scallop (Placopecten magellanicus) shells Mid-Atlantic Bight Georges Bank. Sea scallops grow larger shell height on Bank areas closed fishing fished portions. Depth latitude had significant effects Bank, with smaller heights deeper water at higher latitudes.
