摘要: Abstract The National Committee of Inquiry Into Higher Education Report [4] made several key recommendations regarding the implementation Communications and Information Technology (C&IT) in UK Education. Many these rely upon appropriate network connectivity being available for all higher education sites. If advantage is to be taken this then a clear understanding issues delivery learning materials essential. Making delivered Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) truly distributed teaching aid means developing with different end user platforms mind including Windows (Microsoft), Macintosh (Apple) UNIX (Bell Labs). Traditionally would mean reworking CAL resource each system. A new method providing networked avoid pitfalls traditional methods was investigated demonstrated. This achieved using Web pages enhanced Java applets (Fig. 1), MPEG video clips 2) Dynamic HTML 3).
