摘要: We present a new technique for the correction of atmospheric distortion in telescope images. Most this arises from random phase variation incoming light across aperture. This limits resolving power even large telescopes to about one arc second. If sharpness images is defined suitable way, maximized only when zero. computer simulations simple feedback system which active optical elements, set maximize sharpness, correct most distortion. Photon statistics limiting magnitude object practical can work. Details sixth smaller than 0.1 sec should be resolvable. The conveniently employed within existing telescopes.
