摘要: Characterization of the reservoir beta-hemolytic streptococci in a community may shed light on pathogenesis severe infections caused by these bacteria. We used emm sequence typing to characterize group A (GAS), C (GCS) and G (GGS) isolates associated with noninvasive disease western Norway. total 165 during 13-month period were examined. Skin throat accounted for 123 16, respectively, remaining 26 from other non-sterile sites. identified 18 previously validated types one novel subtype, emmll. 7, among 101 GAS isolates. The two predominant types, emm28 12, found 40.6% Compared recent studies elsewhere world, we higher frequency emm82 (5.9%) emm87 (12.9%) lower emm1 (4.0%) emm3 (4.0%). different distribution compared previous study Among 64 GCS GGS, 15 described four subtypes, stC1400.5, stCK401.3, stG6.3 stG652.3, found. stG6, stG643 stG485 most prevalent 59.4% GGS high proportion skin present indicate existence GAS, strains predominantly soft tissue tropism our community.
