摘要: BACKGROUND Gastric carcinoma is the third most common malignancy and one of main causes cancer deaths worldwide. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a subpopulation tumour capable self-renewal differentiation, likely responsible for initiation, recurrence, metastasis chemo/radio-resistance. OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to evaluate expression patterns clinicopathologic significance putative CSC markers, Lgr5 DCLK1, in gastric carcinoma. METHOD The levels DCLK1 were examined well-defined series tissues, including 75 (80%) from intestinal 19 (20%) diffuse subtypes, using tissue microarray (TMA). In addition, correlation these markers with clinicopathological factors explored. RESULTS Higher expressions mainly detected subtypes carcinomas compared (P= 0.005 P= 0.050, respectively). We also found higher more frequently well-differentiated cases (P< 0.001 0.007). combined analysis demonstrated that co-expression (Lgr5High/DCLK1High) 0.025) samples 0.001). Interestingly, there significant between Lgr5High/DCLK1High phenotype early-stage specimens 0.045). CONCLUSION Our findings indicated pattern may be considered as signature
