摘要: Treemaps are a well known and powerful space-filling visualisation method for displaying hierarchical data. Many alternative treemap algorithms have been proposed, often with the aim being to optimise performance across several criteria, including spatial stability assist users in locating monitoring items of interest. In this paper, we demonstrate that is not fully captured by commonly used "distance change” (DC) metric, introduce new "location drift” (LD) metric more capture stability. An empirical study examines validity usefulness location drift showing it explains some effects on user distance change does not. Next, "Hilbert” "Moore” algorithms, which designed achieve high We assess their comparison other treemaps, Hilbert Moore treemaps perform all metrics.
