摘要: Abstract Emission ratios (ER) of CO and NO relative to CO2 are reported from real time emission measurements on biofuel fires in Kenya. The experiments were based available fuels burning local popular traditional improved stoves. mean dCO/dCO2 71, 79 74 mmol mol−1 for firewood, charcoal agricultural residues, respectively, while the corresponding dNO/dCO2 these fuels, same order, 1.8, 2 2.2 mmol mol−1, respectively. Whereas stove design characteristics largely influenced ratios, fuel nitrogen content was major factor determining ratios. ratio derived is not affected by fire temperature but linearly depend content. Other important parameters that observed patterns include moisture content, size volatile matter case charcoal. In comparison savanna forest fires, tend favour formation reduced or partially oxidised compounds. It clear a change energy preference up “energy ladder” leads reduction ER, an result mitigation policy design.
