摘要: Abstract This paper introduces PySedSim, an open-source, object-oriented, Python-based, daily time step river basin simulation screening model for flow, sediment, and hydropower in networks of reservoirs channels. The enables users to explore representations four key concerns relevant the selection evaluation alternative reservoir configurations: 1) management approaches improve passage sediment through around avoid storage capacity loss downstream ecological impacts; 2) search flexible adaptive operating policies designed achieve multiple objectives; 3) design features such as dam gates, which are necessary enable ecologically-focused features; 4) uncertainties associated with hydroclimatic drivers processes. PySedSim is intended support deliberative decision-making We highlight PySedSim's functionality by demonstrating its use a real decision context focused on identifying siting, design, operation alternatives proposed Sambor mega Dam Cambodia.
