摘要: Biopolymers are preferred ingredients for the manufacture of materials because they based on abundantly available and renewable raw that have benign environmental problems associated with their production, fabrication, use, disposal; however, wide use biopolymers in engineering applications has not been achieved, mainly inferior quality many biopolymer-based products. To overcome this limitation, studies initiated blends biodegradable synthetic polymers. We used contact angle probe liquids to measure surface energy polystyrene, polyesters polycaprolactone, poly(hydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate), polylactic acid, polybutylene adipate terephthalate, adipic poly(hydroxy ester ether), normal starch. The energies were estimate starch/polymer interfacial work adhesion. calculated starch/polyester adhesion showed mixed correlation published mechanical properties, indicating factors other than properties might be dominant determining some blends. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
