摘要: Abstract Chile is one of the fastest-growing economies in Latin America, with a mainly fossil fuelled electricity demand and population projected to surpass 20 million by 2035. undergoing transition renewable energies due ambitious national targets, namely generate 60% its from local energy 2035, achieve 45%renewable share for all new electric installed capacity. In this work, we present comprehensive analysis generation technologies currently deployed Chile. Then, analyse potential future scenarios, considering large deployment RE, PV wind, replace coal-fired electricity. The life cycle assessment (LCA) net (NEA) methods are applied parallel provide complementary indicators, respectively nr-CED EROI, identify weak spots opportunities. Special focus given effect on EROI transporting fuels Results show that wind can significantly improve overall performance Chile, while leading an supply mix >60% less reliant non-renewable energy.
