摘要: Abstract Tanning process generates a significant amount of waste matter both in solid and liquid form. The present study depicts an innovative approach to reduce pollutant recover calcite (CaCO3) from the liming by carbon dioxide (CO2) fixation. Response surface optimization was applied effect time lime concentration (2.5%–7.5% w/w) synthetic wastewater using CO2. acquired optimized condition verified on real produced viz., sludge product (LSP) relime (RSP). results indicated rover >95% recovery followed 85–90% LSP & RSP under conditions. Subsequent reduction total dissolved solids suspended range 78–82% 76–77% also observed. Mineralogical analysis X-ray diffraction technique along with standards (lime, calcite, mix) confirms production calcite. Statistical showed P value 0.95) among conditions variables response methodology further validated artificial neural networking. This demonstrates sustainable cleaner way resource through CO2 fixation (sludge).
