摘要: Abstract In a randomized double-blind crossover trial, the effect of 8 week supplementation with grape and wine polyphenols on functional structural vascular parameters autonomic activity was evaluated in 40 essential hypertensive patients treated diuretic monotherapy. Ambulatory blood pressure, brachial artery flow mediated dilation (FMD) pulse-wave velocity (PWV) were measured at baseline after each 8-week intervention. Forearm resistance endothelial function muscle sympathetic nerve (MSNA) response to mental stress cold-pressor test two separate sub-groups. No statistically significant differences found across time or between groups either FMD, PWV, function. The MSNA stressors non-significantly attenuated grape-wine polyphenol supplementation. These results do not support hypothesis that daily consumption high dose lowers pressure affects already antihypertensive medication.
