摘要: We have analyzed data from a multi-site campaign to observe oscillations in the F5 star Procyon. The consist of high-precision velocities that we obtained over more than three weeks with 11 telescopes. A new method for adjusting weights allows us suppress sidelobes power spectrum. Stacking spectrum so-called echelle diagram reveals two clear ridges, which identify even and odd values angular degree (l = 0 2, l 1 3, respectively). interpret strong, narrow peak at 446 μHz lies close ridge as mode mixed character. show frequencies centroids their separations are useful diagnostics asteroseismology. In particular, variations large separation appear indicate glitch sound-speed profile an acoustic depth ~1000 s. list 55 modes extracted spanning 20 radial orders, range comparable best solar data, will provide valuable constraints theoretical models. preliminary comparison published models shows offset between observed calculated is very different Procyon Sun other cool stars. find mean lifetime be 1.29+0.55 -0.49 days, significantly shorter 2-4 days seen Sun.
