A critical study of the Bingham model in squeeze-flow mode

摘要: Abstract Electrorheological (ER) fluids offer the user option of changing performance a damping device quickly and without much effort. Many authors agree on validity Bingham model for describing fluid. In this paper, have studied in squeeze-flow mode. Calculations were compared with experimental results. Material data estimated from tests both shear-flow mode The investigation shows that estimates give closest fit. Cyclic loading at frequencies below 50 Hz was studied. Amplitude frequency dependence is not well predicted by model, so material are valid one amplitude only.
