摘要: A 58-year-old man was treated for a granular cell tumor (GCT) of the pancreas; very rarely occurring tumor. The patient, who had been followed 6 years due to alcoholic hepatitis, chronic pancreatitis and elevated carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels from smoking, admitted our hospital evaluation back pain, diarrhea constipation. patient diagnosed as having pancreatic head cancer using clinical imaging studies, pylorus-preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy done. In resected specimen, white measuring 13 mm in diameter observed at head, there marked fibrous change surrounding microscopic appearance pancreas showed atrophy acinar cells, fibrosis, dilatation main duct (MPD). Within were oval cells with low-grade atypia an increased number diffuse eosinophilic granules. Neither mitosis nor invasive findings observed. Periodic acid-Schiff staining immunohistochemical S-100 protein positive, thus benign GCT. addition, carcinoma situ found dilated MPD. Therefore, this GCT pancreas. To best knowledge, is only fourth case be reported.
