摘要: Responsiveness to one's bids for proximity in times of need is a linchpin human interaction. Thus, the ability be perceived as responsive has design implications socially assistive robots. We report on large-scale experimental laboratory study (n = 102) examining robot responsiveness and its effects attitudes behaviors. In one-on-one sessions, participants disclosed personal event non-humanoid robot. The responded either responsively or unresponsively across two modalities: Simple gestures written text. replicated previous findings that robot's increased perceptions appealing traits. addition, we found nonverbal approach behaviors (physical proximity, leaning toward robot, eye contact, smiling) participants' willingness accompanied by during stressful events. These suggest humans not only utilize cues ascribe social intentions robots, but actually change their behavior towards robots may want use such source consolation.
