摘要: Constant-force grinding experiments of titanium alloy Ti–6Al–4V were carried out with brazed polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) abrasive wheel heads. Stock removal and tool wear PCBN tools evaluated by comparison that monocrystalline CBN counterparts. Grain the examined using optical microscopy scanning electron microscopy. Fracture mechanism grains was discussed. The results show give larger stock 25% longer service life 30% than grains. have capability to maintain sharp cutting edges means fracture behavior microcrystalline particles. In case strong fixing in Ag–Cu–Ti filler layer, crack are mainly dominated intergranular mode dependent upon joining effects AlN binder material among adjacent
