摘要: Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is one of the leading causes cancer death in West, with a poor overall 5-year survival rate only 4%. Late clinical presentation an advanced disease results low surgical intervention. Tumor serum marker CA 19-9 sensitive, although not specific for diagnosis adenocarcinomas pancreas. The treatment approach based on whether tumor resectable or non-resectable at presentation. Therefore, imaging plays crucial role management this disease. Many modalities are available to image They include non-invasive techniques, like ultrasound, contrast-enhanced multidetector computed tomography, magnetic resonance and integrated positron emission tomography/computed invasive endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography ultrasound. Each these has its peculiar strengths weaknesses.
