摘要: Introduction Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel play an integral role during the national response to a pandemic event. To help ensure their health and safety, especially early stages of outbreak, knowledge adherence with personal protective equipment (PPE) infection control strategies will be essential. Objectives The objective this study was assess effectiveness multi-method, preparedness training intervention using pre-/post-test design. Methods A convenience sample 129 EMS participated in program on preparedness. Training consisted educational focus routes transmission influenza virus, proper use respiratory PPE, agency policies regarding practices, seasonal vaccination. This followed by skill-based drill respirator fit-checking donning doffing procedures. Results Pre-/post-test results indicate significant increase behavioral intentions respect use, vaccination vaccine, willingness report duty pandemic. Conclusions method effective increasing compliance healthcare personnel. Further research should whether behavior modification.
