摘要: Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic psoriasis, axial spondyloarthropathies, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and juvenile idiopathic comprise a group of chronic disorders characterized by an immune-mediated pathogenesis. Although at clinical presentation these appear unrelated, they have been recognized to share similar pathogenic mechanisms. Data from epidemiological genetic studies further support the concept that IMIDs are interrelated, can co-occur in same patient susceptibility. The specific aetiologies remain unknown, but all known involve dysregulation immune system, including over-expression pro-inflammatory cytokine tumour necrosis factor (TNF). pivotal role played TNF pathogenesis pathophysiology has documented extensive preclinical investigations, confirmed efficacy anti-TNF biotechnological drugs, etanercept, infliximab adalimumab, therapeutic management disorders.
