摘要: The thermal and magnetic structure of sunspot penumbrae has been deduced to be highly inhomogeneous from high resolution magnetograms filtergrams. In this contribution we show that such an penumbra, in particular the uncombed field, can explain a number other observations as well. most important observation is broad-band circular polarization. It only reproduced if penumbral besides being azimuthally (as magnetograms), also significantly structured vertical direction. A model which successfully explains polarization agrees with high-resolution magnetograms, consists horizontal thin flux tubes embedded inclined field. We stress sheets differently fields cannot reproduce observed
