Valuing food safety improvements using willingness to pay.

摘要: Food safety policies are coming under increasing scrutiny. A challenging issue when devising food is to assess the 'intangible' benefits such as a reduction in suffering from food-related illness. Here, contingent valuation used elicit individuals' willingness pay (WTP) for elimination of risk poultry-borne illness through irradiation and hypothetical treatment. Two hundred members general public were interviewed results show that people willing extra safety. WTP found be sensitive elicitation format.
