摘要: Abstract Reversed-phase liquid chromatography combined with post-column ion-pair extraction detection was investigated for the analysis of C10C18 homologues sulphonate and sulphate type surfactants. The separations were carried out on Hypersil SAS ODS as packing water—acetone mixtures mobile phase. For separation more than five successive homologues, an acetone gradient applied. Anionic surfactants detected ion pairs by mixing effluent chloroform a solution acridinium chloride. formed between anionic solutes extracted into After phase monitored fluorimetricaly. dection system behaved linearly up to 4μg surfactant injected. limit range 1 5 ng, independent alkyl chain length investigated. suitability method commercial surfactqnt formulations determination at parts per billion levels in water samples, after line column pre-concentration, is demonstrated.
