摘要: Duodenal injury remains to be a lethal injury. The high mortality and complication rates are due difficulties in diagnosis resulting delayed recognition associated injuries such as pancreatic retroperitoneal vascular injuries. Diagnosis can done perioperatively or intraoperatively. Importantly, clinical judgments have based on the combination of mechanisms, signs, radiological evaluations if possible. In operation, strategy is usually simple including primary repair omentum patch. Nevertheless, more complicated procedures required, principles damage control surgery need followed since definitive performed later. Although conservative treatment possible, surgeons aware alternative options available.
