摘要: Juglone concentration was measured in soils collected under a 14-year-old black walnut (Juglans nigra L.) plantation containing plots of pure and mixed with either autumn-olive (Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb.) or European alder (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.). concentrations declined soil depth distance from the tree. Concentrations autumn-olive-walnut were statistically lower than alder-walnut plots. The juglone apparently sufficient to cause onset mortality.
