摘要: Nanoscale oil droplets locating at solid-liquid interfaces significantly impact the interfacial properties, which are concerned in both industry applications and fundamental studies. This review article presents an overview of current progress nanodroplet research. We will start from characterization nanodroplets formation by direct adsorption emulsions solvent exchange protocol. Then we experimental theoretical studies on evolution including spreading, dissolution, detachment. also cover emerging fields surface functionalization nanostructure engineering, particularly, highlight potential application as capping agents to obtain architectures microparticle surface. Finally propose challenges opportunities this area. In our opinion, have not only high relevance practical applications, but serve a model system for understanding many phenomena, such phase separation wetting microscopic scale.
