摘要: Crystalline vaterite is the most thermodynamically unstable polymorph of anhydrous calcium carbonate (CaCO3), and various morphologies can be controlled in presence organic additives. Constructing with minimal defects, determining its distinctive properties, understanding formation mechanism behind a biomimetic process are main challenges this field. In paper, unique single-crystal-like hexagonal bifrustum two 12 trapezoidal faces has been fabricated through catanionic surfactant-assisted mineralization approach for first time. Compared polycrystalline aggregates, these bifrustums clearly present doublet Raman v1 symmetric stretching mode, low depolarizaiton ratio molecular symmetry, high structural stability.
