摘要: Abstract Guinea pigs were given a series of intramuscular injections Entamoeba histolytica antigens mixed with Freund's complete adjuvant. The sonicated whole amebae and fractions obtained from separated by column chromatography concentrated passage through ultrafiltration membranes. After three immunizing doses the animals challenged intracecal injection killed 6 days later. Gross microscopic observations made, degree protection was noted antibody response studied. Fraction I had largest molecular weight obtained. Partial other antigens; 70% amebae, 64% fraction III 43% II. Ninety-two percent unimmunized infected. Unusual lesions observed in liver immunized their significance is discussed.
