High laser harmonics induced by the Berry curvature in time-reversal invariant materials

摘要: A nonlinear scheme of high-harmonic generation in a wide class time-reversal invariant materials with broken spatial inversion symmetry (for which, recently, the Hall effect was established) due to nontrivial topology bands is proposed. microscopic quasiclassical theory describing nonperturbative optical response pseudorelativistic electrons nonzero Berry curvature strong laser field developed. We analyze harmonic content induced current and show that one can decouple harmonics solely by bands. also study dependence on driving wave system parameters.
