Design and synthesis of imine linked ZnO nanoparticles functionalized with Al(III), candidate for application in light emitting diodes

摘要: Zinc oxide nanoparticles 1.ZnO decorated with dipodal organic receptor 1 bearing imine linkage were synthesized using wet chemical precipitation technique. The linked used as capping agent was condensation reaction. characterized through FTIR, SEM, TEM, DLS and fluorescence spectroscopy. emission spectra of surface modified ZnO authenticated the passivation defects dangling bonds which otherwise are available on uncapped nanoparticles. demonstrated blue at 461 nm. binding affinity also checked in presence metal ions changes observed spectra. An enhancement up to threefold intensity achieved from upon coordination Al3+ ion. results that our design strategy resulted pure narrow FWHM 70 nm. This effective way achieving selectivity factor enhanced quantum yield can be utilized electronic device like light emitting diodes.
