摘要: Each year thousands of pedestrians and bicyclists are killed or injured in road traffic accidents around the world. Highway crashes involving include a high percentage hit run where accused vehicles trucks victims bicyclists. This along with exposure vulnerable users (VRU) on speed freight corridors requires an in-depth analysis impact VRUs. While variety such can be performed, this study, focus has been given to carry out using simulation software MADYMO. External frontal frames composed energy absorbing materials used study as means injury reduction VRUs event side and/or rear collision at speeds between 15 60 km/h. The direct contact hard metal surface is prevented by these attached externally truck front. spatial configuration determined without negatively influencing either headlights sight air circulation engine parts. Injury criteria results obtained for all body segments reduced significantly both when system.
