摘要: We developed a biogeographical regionalization of Angolan mammals based on data collected before major declines occurred during the civil war (1975- 2002). In terms its biodiversity, Angola is one least known all African countries. 2. used 9880 grid records 140 species (rodents, ungulates and carnivores) mainly in 1930-80, at quarter degree cell resolution. Biogeographical regions were identified by using cluster analysis, βsim dissimilarity matri- ces hierarchical classification Ward's method. An indicator value analysis was to identify characterizing each region. Distance-based redundancy investigate environmental correlates mam- malian assemblages. 3. Four subdivisions emerged from ungulate distributions, while rodent carnivore largely uninformative. north, Zaire- Lunda-Cuanza region characterized associated with Congolian forests. south, Namibe Cunene-Cuando Cubango widespread south-western southern Africa. between these regions, Central Plateau bs_bs_banner
