摘要: It has been observed that some groups in society tend to report their health be better than would expected through more objective measures. The available evidence suggests while variations self-assessed measures of may act as good proxies mortality and morbidity homogeneous populations, groups, such the Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander communities Australia, these subjective provide a misleading picture. Useful insights into formation perceptions can drawn from range disciplines, particular, social comparison theories, models illness behaviour, survey literature linguistics. These theories help an understanding different ways which perceived, evaluated acted upon by kinds people. Such considerations have very direct implications for those planning evaluating public programs well responsible funding programs.
