摘要: Dietary fiber reduces the absorption of dietary calcium from a meal, but its impact on kinetics is unknown. We therefore evaluated effects high diet balance and calcium-regulating hormones. Seven young men each participated in two 23-d experiments. In low period controlled provided 6.5 g fiber/d 530 mg calcium/d. was increased to 31.3 g/d 586 mg/d by substituting cereal. Measured between d 7 12 period, significantly lowered apparent (from 60.6 +/- 23.8% 37.1 26.5%) reduced balance, although remained positive overall. Fiber had no effect serum total or ultrafiltrable calcium, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D parathyroid hormone concentrations measured 1, 7, 20. Calcium studied 17 23 administering oral 44Ca intravenous 42Ca fasting subjects. Fractional state unaffected fiber. However, during subjects lower bone accretion, resorption turnover rates, flow exchangeable pool than period. conclude that fiber-induced reduction slowed down did not increase efficiency intestinal absorption.
