摘要: Summary The authors have characterised the genetic diversity of bluetongue virus (BTV) RNA segments 3 and 10 from Indonesia, Malaysia Australia. Analysis segment 3, which codes for core protein VP3, showed conserved sequences in previously defined Australasian topotype, but further divided into four distinct clades or genotypes. Certain genotypes appeared to be geographically restricted while others were distributed widely throughout South-East Asia. Ongoing surveillance programmes Australia identified movement Indonesian northern possible reassortment among them. Similarly, analysis 10, non-structural NS3/3A, they also grouped five genotypes, three Asian two North American/South African.
